UCRT Benches Blogpost
This is a breakdown of some sci-fi benches I started on awhile back! This type of hardware is used at transport terminals & serves a purpose to sell ads to the passengers waiting for their destination.
Modeling & UV's
Early on with this project I wanted to use a mix of 0-1 & tileables for this model, once things looked good I went ahead and created uvs for each set.
Texel Density 10.24
UCRTBench_Cushions: For the cushions I worked on some cloth sims in blender to get the base result and then decimated it down to use for a lowpoly version of the model, in the images below the one on the left is a baked down version of the model with normas & ao and the second image is in substance Painter.
UCRTBench_Main UV's
My plan for 'UCRTBench_Main' set was to bake normal information & create some edgewear/dirt masks with the first uv set, the second uv's are mainly used for tileables.
Uv Set 1: outside 0-1 with a resolution quality of 4096X4096
Uv Set 2: Within the 0-1 and would be used for baked normals, Edge/dirt wear, Tileables & Trims
Uv Set 3: Used for trim detail & normals
UCRTBench_Screens UV's
Uv Set 1:unique unwrap & 2048X2048
Uv Set 2: Screen Uv's
For these screens its pretty much a unique unwrap with a second set of uv's to use for the screens. i use the second uv's for custom screen textures.
